Question Thoughts on buying a is300 with 140k

Ok so there is this sexy 5 speed black with tan interior that I am looking at. I am buying the car for 7500 dollars and it comes with nav, extra snow tires, and has a strut bar in it. Do you think it's worth the asking price?

I don't really care about milage as long as everything is in working order. Compression/leak test should give you a good idea of the overall health of the engine if that's what you're worried about. If you're not keen on swapping the motor or doing any heavy maintenance on it, you may want to think twice.

My is300 has actually just hit 140k...runs amazing. So it really all depends on the car itself...I couldn't tell you if it's worth it or not; but that price is pretty cheap.

Price seems a little high considering the milage man. I would keep looking around if I were you. We are still in a down economy and people still think they can get Blue book value for their car/trucks. It's just not going to happen with this economy, the seller will learn when the car sits for 4months with no sale.lol The engine on these IS' will last a long time if the person owning it takes proper care of it. I have 180K on mine and it still runs like a champ with little to no issues. And the small problems I do have arn't with the engine itself its stuff like suspension, air sensor, cat converter ect... You should be able to pick one up with around 120K miles for around $5-6K. Good luck bud!

awww, haha now your getting specific man.haha Still though you should be able to find what your looking for if you shop around and wait for a good deal to come along.

I hope I don't get in trouble for posting these links. If its against the rules just let me know and I can take it down.

there's two for ya on Autotrader.com. Not too much around right now but like I said look around and wait. Have your cash in hand and be ready to jump on a good deal cause it'll go fast. Money walks and bull$hyt talks. You cant expect to get a good deal if you only have a week to look, just facts man. Where are you looking if you don't mind me asking? If someone ask $7K counter with $6300 or $6K. Negotiate homie. Anyway good luck bud.

I sold an 01 black with 154k in May for $4,700. It sold quick, but I believed it was a fair price

Yes I bought mine already but I'd love to see that one. The only is300 I found for that price was a 5 speed with 200+ miles and more problems then my last girlfriend.
