Default Nav (2002) Questions

I have 3 nav questions regarding the stock 2002 IS 300 Nav.

1) Is there ANY way to bypass the nav stopping accepting input while the car is moving? While this may be an "important" safety feature, Lexus' failure to sense whether someone is in the passenger seat as an automatic bypass to this system is troubling. As it stands, I cannot be driving and have my passenger enter the navigation because of it.

2) Has there been an update? My car is 4 months old, and it still has version 1.0, 2001 in it

3) Is there any system that allows for DVD movie playback through the dash mounted screen?

BTW, I am desperate for answers on # 1.

All the best - and thanks!

Check on electronics forums about the DVD for question #3 and somebody just post about the question #1.
