Try to get it done today my friend and let us know the results. Pick up a rad cap and thermostat too while you're there as they aren't expensive either.
Headed there now, gonna grab the kit but not sure about the thermostat because it has not overheated once yet so gonna see what happens with this test.

the same kit used to pressure test the cooling system should have an adapter to pressure test the cap...

I have done the same "test" and them still be bad / leak...

Well block test turned out well, no color change at all!!!!

Also replaced the rad cap just to be safe. Ran the car at idle for about 20 mins playing with the throttle methodically giving some high revs to get the temps up, with no A/C running the fans are kicking on as they should. So im stumped but happy.

The kit i got from autozone doesnt have any adapter for the rad cap, so i just replaced it.

that can kinda come back on you... I know a guy who had a lower end rod knock in a Corvette, had a performance shop replace just that rod's bearing which cured the knock and he traded it in... after the car sold from the dealership, the new owner put about 300 miles on it before it started knocking again... long story short, the original owner paid to put a new motor in the car...
