i'm putting my engine back together after a swap (just putting another stock engine) and im checking all the wires on the exhaust side and came across this wire:






im guessing this is a ground? from where im holding it, it disappears somewhere beneath the battery tray. i have a hunch on where it goes but just wanted to make sure it is what i think it is.

While we're on the subject, i just wanted make sure of something else. There's a large wire that comes from the starter and it comes over to the battery. im not 100% sure if it connects to the battery terminal as well but if someone can shed some light on these two things, that would be great. thanks in advance.

 

follow the wires. the first one looks like the battery ground that goes from the negative side to the frame for ground. the second one looks like the starter or alternator cable
