Wow this hella flush crap has people perception of what "fits" all messed up. 225 on a 9.5 rims? Realistically you should go no lower than 255 and even that is pushing it, 225 belongs on a 7.5. Offset plays a big part but I guess im old school when it comes to function and saftey over form, or the idea of what looks good.

its the "new fad"...it will pass, but if u dont track ur car or use it to its full potential why do u need "the right size tire"

its peoples personal choice..i like meaty flush fitment myself..i just help anyone who's looking for it

I not talking about track im talking about safty. How can a 225/40 tire be safe on a 9.5 wide rim? The poster even said the tire fell off the rim, that a great trend right there, put yourself and others around you in danger.

You can not safely run a proper size tire (275/35) tire on that rim. Best you can do is what you current run right now and the tire will just wear and fall off again.

its not my car...so he can run what he wants too...he asked for advice and thats what were giving him..talk to the whole forum about safety...do u think people acutally care if its not safe? they will do it regardless

if tire shops continually to stretch tires for customers then who is to blame?

I am not debating with you, i am just stating my point of view on the subject, I guess I just don't get why people would waste money on wide wheels and put themselves in danger. Either way I hope this fad goes away

+1...very good point! If safety was that serious, than I guess easily more than half the members here are wrong for modding their cars with darker window tint, HIDs in the fog lights due to glaring oncoming cars, installing aftermarket stereo's that allow you to watch movies while your driving, etc etc etc.

OP, when running stretched/low profile tires you have to be more cautious and careful when driving. I have my 07 Acura TL-S lowered about 2" running stretched/ staggered 19's with 35 profile tires and I get the "finger" quite often when driving over railroad tracks, bumps, or anywhere in general. Its a drive we pay to play!
