Default manual transmission tick

So i have a weird problem I never had in any other manual car, when the car is in neutral or any gear for that matter and the clutch pedal is released there is a weird tick/chatter sound, if I apply a little pressure to the clutch pedal it goes away. This does not happen all the time but somewhere along the line of 50% of the time. The clutch grabs hard since I have removed the CDD, no slipping that I could tell, could it be the clutch fork or the clutch not fully released or engaged? anyone else have a similar problem?
