Question Different Wheel Ideas ya or nah

Has anyone tried to fit 18X10 in the front with stock rolled fenders?

I wanna run this all around but im not sure if this would even fit.
The widest ive seen run in the front was 9.5.

With that set up your definitely going to fender issues. You may have to run fender flares..... Use the chart below to help you:

These limits are the practical extremes with good alignments. You can buy more fender room with camber or rolling or pulling. In front, you can buy more room with shorter overall tire diameter (<25") The closer you get to these limits, the more likely you will need to stretch a tire to fit the fender side. Drop does not determine what size wheels fit. Put too aggressive a wheel, and one day, you WILL bend your fender when you take the wrong turn with a good bump if you exceed these limits.

Measuring in mm from the face of the hub:
Front fender limit: +65mm
Comments:
| +65 | Stretch tire and/or roll fender. Need fender liner mod. Do not exceed tire diameter of 25"
| +55 | Fender liner mod if going for a wide or tall tire. Do no exceed tire diameter of 25.2"
Front inner suspension upright limit: -155mm
Comments:
Need spacer if this number is exceeded. If close, do not use lip weights on wheels

Rear fender limit: +68mm
Rear fender limit w/ shaved lip: +75
Comments:
Need to stretch tire to a certain degree if very close to these numbers
Rear inner suspension coil lmit: -183mm
Comments:
Several factors matter as you approach this limit. You may need to limit the amount of suspension travel. You may need to stretch tire. And you cannot run as aggressive camber. I've been able to actually scrub tire well before this limit (@ -175mm) with track cornering loads on the spring and inner forward tub.

Equations to figure out wheel lip placement relative to limits:

Outer lip: (Wheel Width * 25.4) / 2 - Wheel Offset
Inner lip: (Wheel Width * 25.4) / 2 + Wheel Offset
Note: Inner lip is related to backspacing but backspacing takes into consideration the wheel lip thickness, which is usually another 1/2" or 12.7mm.

Examples:
Front wheel size: 8.5" +45
Fender: 8.5 * 25.4 / 2 - 45 = 62.95 (< 65 - OK)
Suspension: 8.5 * 25.4 / 2 + 45 = 152.95 ( < 155 - OK)
Rear wheel size: 9.5" +55
Fender: 9.5 * 25.4 / 2 - 55 = 65.175 (< 68 - OK)
Suspension: 9.5 * 25.4 / 2 + 55 = 175.65 (< 190 - OK)

10 * 25.4 / 2 - 25 = 102

Front fender limit is 65.

102 - 65 = 37

37 / 25.4 = 1.45 inches.

So the lip of the wheel stick out almost an inch and a half.

And that is what you are heading towards. That is a 9.5 +7 and 10 -5.



A 10 +25 will be 10mm less aggressive, but still ridiculous.

If you want the widest possible wheel up front go with a 9.5 +30ish. And a 225 is pretty much as big a tire as you can fit.

And you are going to have to pull the fenders most likely not just roll.

Hahah yeah thats Guillermo's IS his car is set upp wayy too ridiculous hes running spacers on top of aggessive wheels so he can get it to pop out like that.

Im just looking for a clean flush look like this
Cause this guy is currently running 18X10 +25 in the rear but i was just curious if its possible to fit them in the front as well.

I'm currently running 17X9 +20 in the front and 18X9.5 +35 in the rear
pretty well but im just trying to see what the limit is for the front.
so my plan is to bump up my rears to the front and get the 18X10's in replace for the rear for now and see how it works out.

Guillermo definitely wasn't running spacers with those wheels... The ONLY way to get that big of a lip on an IS300 is by running very low offsets. The rear is a 4"+ lip, meaning that it has to be at least near a zero offset... Meaning he's most likely not running spacers

18x10+25 is not going to be flush all around... You'll be flush in the rear, and pokin' in the front. Your plan sounds like a good idea.

Hahah damnn his car is just straight ridiculous then if he's not running spacers i remember when i saw his car at hella flush his wheels were poppin out fat to where it looked awkward, like he was running on spacers but if not that's crazy. His name should be Gangster for having such a setup.

Travis you really think that would look right in the front? It's only 10mm less aggressive than guillermo. That's too much for me...

And I got my calipers back from powder coat today! I'll send you a picture in the next couple days, they're sick!

Jacob is gonna do it... With enough negative camber, It'll look alright. Heck, I'll be putting in my 18x9.5+27 up front in a few days. 18x10+25 is only 8mm more aggressive, which really isn't *that* noticeable. I mean, yeah, it'll poke, but with supporting mods it has the potential to look very aggressive.

But, I said his original plan of 18x8.5 up front was a good idea. LOL

I'm still not a fan of the aggressive offsets, but the silver car posted last is tolerable.
