I love how the title says "Gone where no other Lexus has Gone Before," when there are several others that have done this and more before David. Not trying to steal his thunder, I'm just saying others have long since achieved 1000+hp

 

Apex84 thank you for clarifying - do you know of any articles or discussion threads highlighting these 1,000+ vehicles? I'd love to check them out.

The engine bay, body kit and seats are great.
But the 20's and trunk ruin it for me...

 

I don't know if that's what the editor is referring to if you're or aren't reading between the lines; but that statement goes beyond just the hp numbers, it's the overall package- the quality of every single part on the car and the attention to detail. With that said, the car is undefeated in multiple criterias as it top off the rest of the entries for that contest by the manufacturer.

Thanks, although it's not something for everybody, it definately achieved what I envision this car to be.

 

I simply posted the SRT drag car for the HP numbers. Obviously there hasn't been an IS (that I've seen) modified to the same caliber. What you've done is different from the other high HP IS's.

Actually, the only other IS that I think is in the same realm of things is the guy in Australia. I don't know how much HP he had though.
