I am 6 days into my first Lexus, an IS-300.

Can anyone out there tell me if they see a vertical (or near vertical) bright silver metal piece on the inside of their driver's side mirror? It may be the heating element or something, but it sure is visible, and distracting.

I will chek but I never noticed anything on mine,.

 

I noticed the same thing after I bought my IS300. Not sure what it is, but you'll get used to it.

 

yeah i notice that too.... i think its a reflection of something... but yeah you do get use to it.....

 

This drove me nuts for the first couple of days. Lower the drivers side mirror, and see if it goes away. It does? Now why could that be?

Oh! It's a reflection in the window glass of the little chrome handle on the drivers side air vent.

I don't even notice it any more.

YEAH IT IS THE FRONT AIRVENT.... the airconditioning thingy... yup
