Default Looking at this IS300... thoughts?

Hi Guys,

My first post on here. Wanted to say hello.

I'm looking for a new daily driver, and I really like IS300's. Seems they are hard to find in good condition. I have stumbled across an 02 for $12999 at a dealer. 1 owner, flawless maintenance history. (Waterpump, timing belt, new tires just done). 88000 miles. Seems like the price is a bit high, can you make any reccomendations on what I should pay and look out for.

I was going to offeer 10,500 cash to him. Thoughts?

This will be my DD. I also own a 93 Toyota Supra Turbo.

Let's say that the water pump & timing belt are very expensive if you have to do them your self.

As for how much you want to offer, that depends on your own local economic conditions at the time.

What ever price you pay, you wont be sorry with a 1IS, great cars.

Update!

I wanted to let you guys know I went to look at the car last night. There was actually someone there looking at it when I got there.

Water Pump
Timing Belt
New Tires
Oil Changed
Alignment Check were just done.

So I waited until they were done an looked the vehicle over. It was very clean inside leather was mint. Front bumper could use a respray probably and the headlights could use a polish. I saw no dings or dents.

Decided to go for a test drive and the car was very tight. I was suprised on how it handled. Was very smooth. Had an issue with some vibration at 50mph but dealer would fix he said.

I decided to make an offer and they eventually took it. Got it for $9995! I pick it up next week. Need to get some touch up paint for a couple spots. Can't wait to get it home. Can anyone reccomend how to clean up the headlights?

If it's just scratches, you can get 2000 grit wet/dry sand paper...wet sand them then buff out with a power buffer...use a high cut compound and work up to a fine swirl remover. If they are yellowed, or heat checked, get new ones.

welcome, great deal, my advice is to keep it as a nice luxury car, because you have a high horsepower Supra already.
