Default hello everyone! got a question?

NEW TO SITE HELLO!. Im selling my 05 sti and im purchasing an 2002 IS-300. now hear is my question. the 2jz-ge thats in it is it the same block and internals as the 2jz-gte. should i build the stock block or do a swap. i am definatly doing a 6 speed swap. the 5 speed is nice but i got spoiled in the sti. plus i love the sporty 4 door turbo sedans. but my dream is to have a supra but is it . i love the sedans and the 2jzgte. so this car is like both. minus the turbo. so give me the 411 thanks alot.

the blocks do not share the same internals to my knowlage but they do share the design and can be changed out for gte internals. but i think the ge bottom is fairly stout stock. there is a couple of is300 turbo kits srt makes the most popular one and its a single turbo all included with a thinker headgasket. they clame 450 hp on the stock block. and for the six speed i hear thats a cash pit. i would loke it but i dont have the money. there are some write ups on other forums. like my.is and isfanatics.com. there are swaps, you can do the supra turbo, or aristo 2jzgte swap, the aristo swap is prefered because you can keep your vvti and traction control. i think you'll be happy with the IS300. i know i am. good luck with the buy and post up some pics when you get it.
