Whats the best bodykit material?

Any suggestions on what type of material used to make a bodykit is the best...fiberglass, urethane, poly urethane....???

Whats the worst to get fixed if it cracks? Whats the most durable?

best material for kits?

Carbon fiber all the way. Lightweight, strong, and only the true worthy use it. -solo

I haven't found any carbon fiber bodykits...any idea on where I can find any on the net to take a look at??

well urethane is prolly the most durable... but I like fiberglass my self...

Just dont buy any fake body parts. Fiberglass that is made from another piece isnt quality. Make sure its a original piece. injected fiberglass is the best. Made in japan not made in America!!!!!

okay...i just found out that the Arms Design bodykit that Im on a waiting list for from Hyperrev will be made of fiberglass and will meet or exceed the japanese quality.

If the your paying more than $400 or more (Shipped) for a rear piece or front piece it should be real. The ARMS DESIGN quality is is alot different. I have a fake copy front lip but i have the real rear apron. You can totally tell which is fake and real. The fake piece has really dark fiberglass around the inside edges and the primer is think and the edges arnt smooth. The real piece feels a bit more flimsy but stronger. The clear coating on top is smooth and the edges are perfect. No dark inside edges.

I guess you can say the one Im waiting for is fake...cause its being custom made...hyperrev had the arms design kit molded and then had it contracted out to have a bunch made. The prototype came out great they said...it was at the Hot Import Nights Show in Seattle last year on a SBM IS300.

I don't know about the inside, but if hes saying its gonna meet or exceed the Japanese quality of the Arms Design kit...Im assuming it will be a very good quality fiberglass that he is having used to make the kit.

Anyways, I will keep you posted on the quality...I should have one sometime this month or the first part of next month. The first one is almost done, but it's going to a friend of his...mine should be the second one.
