How fast can is300 get?
Oka my friend just leased a brand new is300 and I drive a gs400, so obviously he never driven in a gs400 and was talking smack about how he was going to beat me in his is, anyways we never raced but we did switch cars for a while, after an hour of him driving my car and me driving his car, he came to reality 
So anyways I really would like to know how fast can is300 get? 0-60 and quarter mile run with the stage 4 mod, etc.....
Please post some numbers, will it give a stock gs400 a run for its money?

A stage 2-3 supercharger from SRT and or a stage 1 Turbo could easily whip up on a Stock or slightly mmodded GS4.
we are talkin 300-350 rwhp equates to about 390-420 hp at the motor..
no contest.. IS hands down.. and for an example... the 606rwhp(At the wheels) toyomoto IS300... he beats up on TT supras and 911 turbos.. and ferarris' ect..

IS300 + 13k(or more, i dont know) + A couple weeks at toyomoto = 606whp = woh.
Thats 200 more horsepower at the wheels than my neighbor's 550 marrenello. Bout same over a porche twin turbo's power...
but unless your friend is that rich, i wouldnt worry a whole lot. I raced my friend's GS4, and he kicked my A$$ pretty bad, even after i got my exhaust and intake. I'd venture that even with headers the GS would still take the IS...but when you start using forced induction...heh...there's the difference.

fairuza11 your a stage 4 is that as much as it gets? Do you get 600+ hp? What are your times? can you give me some #s, also can you make it go even faster after stage 4?

yes I am at stage 4 as far as the set up goes... I am waiting on my standalone computer to run the boost levels I want... right now I am only running 10 psi(that is a long story) but after I get my haltech I will be able to run 25-28psi... then I will have some serious power..

ehh well the tracks arounfd here are closed till the new year.. I will be heading over to Atco in jan and make some runs (granted my car dont shift so well) but I guessin low 13's, if it shifted maybe a high 12..
0-60 pretty quick high 5's right now.. I would guess...

Ahh niice, thats fast for an is300 but one thing that I cant seem to get. You spent so much money on these mods, wouldnt it be easier or even better to get a gs430 maybe and put a few grand in it and make it even faster?
Or is it really the is300 appearance that you were drown to? What was it, im very curious I drive a 98 gs400, and its my favorite car overall I used to drive a 750il.

heheh well I am not an AVID IS addict.. I mean I like the car I just wanted something different to make fast... hondas are played out and Supra's are sweet but been done... RX7's the same.. IS300's tho they are stil fresh...hence I got an IS... after this car is done I am onto a new project...

I'm saying that 13k will make the IS300 A LOT faster than GS300s and GS400s.
But IS is pretty small for me.
the 606rwhp is300 was in turbo magazine a few months ago....the owner did run his car on race gas all the time but he could run it on pump gas and have over 500rwhp every day on 93 octane......the stage 2 turbo is around 15k installed with EVERYTHING including boost controller....haltech....downpipe..mid pipe..i mean everything...and your looking at around 500rwhp depending on the turbo and fuel you go with......there will be another turbo is300 out soon..you all will know all about it....there will be some nice stuff about it....
also white gs400.....although they are nice cars the modifications you can do to a GS400 dont compare to the is300 or sc300 or gs300 when it comes to hp output and reliability....the 3.0l I6 is an incredible motor.....and the is300 is a heck of a fun car to throw around in the corners also.....for a lexus its a very sporty car.....the GS400 is a very nice luxury car but is a little too big to throw through the corners.....my sc300 took alot of suspension work to get it to where i could throw it through corners...but any way...enough of my jiberish...Jeff
