SOMEONE (POSSIBLY ONE OF MY OWN EMPLOYEES) HIT MY CAR TODAY AT WORK!!!! THE WHOLE FRONT RIGHT FENDER IS TOTALLY WRECKED AND THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR HAS GOT DAMAGE TOO!! I HOPE NOTHING HAPPENED TO THE ENGINE!!

I DON'T WANT THE CAR ANYMORE!! I'VE TRIED SOOOO HARD TO KEEP IT UP!! FIRST IT GETS KEYED, THEN MY WIFE SCRAPES THE RIMS ON THE CURB, THEN SOMETHING FLIES UP ON THE FREEWAY AND SCRATCHED THE HOOD AND TRUNK, THEN MY DOOR GETS DINGED, AND NOW PRETTY MUCH THE WHOLE PASSENGER SIDE IS RUINED!!!

I'M GONNA GET RID OF IT AND GET THE IS430, WHENS IT COME OUT??? OR I THINK I WILL KEEP THIS CAR FOR MY WIFE AND STILL GET MYSELF THE IS430...I THINK THAT SOUNDS GREAT!!!

That was scary to look at cause thats the same color as my car!!!! Yea, I've been in a simalar situation with my Lexus before this one, I had an ES300 that I rolled 4 times and totalled it!! Luckily I walked away without a scratch. Another Lexus in my family was also just recently totalled, it slipped on black ice and hit the median a few times. We currently have 3 Lexuses now in the family, having totalled 2 already, we still keep buying Lexuses!! VERY LOYAL LEXUS FANS I GUESS!!!!

there wasnt any rail damage.. it was a high hit, got hit by a pick up truck..

so the car was damaged only cosmetically.. the right should be fine.. hopefully

 

daymn that looked bad!!!!!! Bad luck i can see. Just this weekend i got robbed!!!! Not for my car but my aftermarket parts. The weird thing is they took 2-stock wheels 2-Blitz wheels,and only half of my brand new ZEES dual exhaust!!!! And a BLitz exhaust. Daymn bastards took parts that dont even match up!!!!! Daymn exhaust cost me over 1 grand and i have half of it!!!!!

 

Got my car back today...and you'd think I that I would be happy...but NO!!! They f$*%#ed it up!! The new fender and door skin they replaced and painted had scratches on it when I picked up the car...they put a new scratch on the drivers side rear door, as well as a chip in the paint by the gas tank!! They didnt fix the damaged mirror!! And worst of all, they put touch up paint on ALL the rock chips on the hood and put clear coat over it...it looks HORRIBLE!!! Hey are going to get the car back in next week to fix all that I complained about...IM SOOOO UPSET!!!! I took it to the ONLY Lexus authorized body shop in the area...normally they do a great job, I don't know what happened this time!!!

 

I've had to deal with so called 'reputable' body shops before. If you don't stay on the ball with them they are totally going to run you over, and take advantage of you. I had to take my old Accord in 4 times for them to fix things. Each time it went in there, it came out with new problems.

Be careful, they are snakes

sorry to hear what happened to your lex, That is very sad, I wouldnt know what to do if mine got damaged like that, I only have liability insurance, I donot like to pay for full coverage which is more than double.

 

I got the car back 12/20/01

the ride is the same.

I started to notice little problems with the car.

front right door, grayish white paint.
bumper has three scratches.
inside trunk right plastic arm cover, broken.
bumper left and right red lenses scratched.
raddle when close either left or right rear doors.
bumper missing two clips on the bottom.
back left and right door handles have gritty feel on inside.

but overall the car is great!

fortyounce....if I were you, I'd take it back and have them do it right...thats what Im doing with mine. I drop it back off at the body shop on wednesday so they can finish the car properly!!!

 

yup, I have to call them and see when I can drop the car off.
