Default jerky while in drive

my car drives really jerky during 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear. My brother says its the ECU reading weird. But for some reason i think its my tranny thats slipping. Im probably just tripping, but along time ago my car died in neutral on the freeway. and then another time it still pulled while in neutral. These arnt common problems are they? Is the IS tranny under warranty??

Id assume it WAS under waranty, until you your the Black Box in... now the dealer might argue. Who knows? It's worth a shot.

Mine did the exact same thing and i have not did anything to the engine yet. The first time I took it in to the dealer, they reset something, but that didnt work. The second time I took it in they did replace something, I can't remember exactly what, I will have to check my maintenance file. But even with that, it didn't fix it. The tech told me to drive the car with the ECT Power on, so i did, and believe or not, that worked!! I don't drive it with the ECT Power on all the time, but the problem seems to be gone!!

DAYMN.... the black box is only a piggy back ECU. SO that would only void my ECU warranty right? Or does itvoid tranny and engine warranty?
