bummed
So I did some research/reading and had come to the conclusion that I could get a new header + exhaust system and just avoid fixing my o2 sensor issue (can anybody tell i think o2 sensors are dumb and that i just dont want to fix it?).
I was happy, I had come up with how to do the whole shot for about $400 (via deals through a couple of my garages and such). Yesterday I was @ my garage firming everything up, going to place my order, pay for the stuff that sort of thing. Just to be sure before I said 'ok lets do it' we went over my situation and it turns out that since sensor 1 AND 2 are blown, this wont fix my problem
In BC we have a provincial insurrance company which forces every1 to go through what's called 'Air Care' (total joke) and if you don't pass, no insurrance for you. o2 Sensor 1 MUST be working or I wont pass air care.
Now, I guess I will order o2 sensor 1 & 2 (cost $250/ea + labor for instal) and hold of on the exhaust system.
Reason for being bummed: pay more money and get less performance out of car

Call Carson they ussually have better pricing on stuff.
Also the O2 sensor is a very easy replacement assuming the ones on the IS are accesible.
Basically you buy an O2 sensor socket at the auto store, screw out the old ones and screw in the new ones.
Also as an FYI I have tried aftermarket sensors on my GS but I got check engine lights. I would go OEM if I were you.

So today after an additional series of unfortunate events I ended up @ my Lexus dealer ... and I FIXED THE SENSOR ... and for clarification, it was the MAF sensor ... not the o2 sensor ... omg ... car has low end power
... car has go
therefore: Faymester = less bummed
