Default Oil Filter?

does anyone use OE toyota oil filters? if so, what is the toyota number? i don't feel like dealing with lexus's parts counter. if its too much of a pita, i will just go with an amsoil filter i guess. thanks

Hey GTE,

I use the Toyota filter,

the # is 08922-02011

IMO the Genuine Toyota filter is the best.

thanks risk, i totally agree. i would just use the lexus filter, but they are too much of a pain to deal with, they're all snobby in the parts department, i don't know wtf is up with that? but anyways, i have a friend at toyota, so this will work great. thanks again.

Same here I use the OEM filter and feel it is probably the best for the money. $4.50 for the OEM filter at a Toyota dealer. My Lexus dealer wanted $10, what a *****ing rip off. Warning do not let the parts department sell you a $1 plastic crush washer for the drain plug, not needed. Our's is reuseable and not made of plastic but rather the washer is a metal washer with some type of felt.

I used K & N Filters for my GS300 & SC300 , & they worked fine. They actually used the same filter size too.
