Latley the car will run through the gears but once it hits 5th it will just stay there..and NOT go into overdrive!! around 60-65mph it sits at 2,700 rpms! could this be fuse related maybe?? im not aware of the IS having an overdrive button..

 

You have an automatic transmission in your IS? Doesn't it only have five gears (fifth gear is the overdrive)

 

DaveGS4, you are correct, auto transmission is 5 speed

MISSY, theres nothing after 5th ... thats as high as it goes ... if you're coming from an american made car where they usually have some form of overdrive, prepare yourself for a shock ...

 

uh, that's about right... at 70mph, it should be very close to 3000rpms
