5K maintence, here is the list
Just had the 5K maintence done and this is what the dealrship did:
1) Oil change & Filter ( 10-40w)
2) replace underbody panel (Lexus campaign notice)
3) Adjust the brakes- finally no more mush
4) Rotate tires
5) Filled up the tank (WOW)
6) Wash the car
Also had them order the trac unit since my car fell into the defective list of '01 IS's, they recieved the part the following day and I have an appointment tommorow to replace the trac unit and reflash the ECU as well.
LEXUS SERVICE.........................................PRICELESS

I hear you, this is what was on the service invoice. I knew I had 5/30w oil in there. I looked at the oil after the change, it is clean and it is lite. Perhaps at the 10K i will change over to Mobil 1 syn.
can hardly wait for the trac/ecu update tommorow. I need to feel the speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It can't get any slower than it is now , J/K, hey I'll find out tommorow. Anyone else in here that can confirm that the Ecu/trac update slows your IS down?

It doesnt slow you down, dont listen to the BS. Lexus will do anythign they can to save time and money which includes scaring you away from the very nice !FREE! ECU update. It just pissed them off that your car is improving for free and they have to take the time to do it. You can feel it once you get it. It is quicker off the line and there is no hesitation between gears. It also doenst spaz out when you hit some sand gassing it around a turn. In the end i liked the outcome. Dont know abotu the rest of you guys though.
