navigation and heated seats
I'm thinking about getting a navigation system installed in my 2002 Sportcross, and maybe heated seats as well. I'd like to get it installed into the dash like the ones that Lexus installs, would the dealer have to do it or could I find a cheaper place to do it? Could I get a backup camera installed that uses the nav system for viewing?
Is it true that the heating element is already installed in my car, and that they just have to plug something in and throw the button in to make it work?

I've seen a few IS's modded to fit the Nav system. The stock Lexus system is pretty much identical to the Eclipse nav systems. You can indeed get a reverse camera installed with this, and you also have the ability for steering wheel controls. It gets a little pricey, and you lose your in-dash CD changer, but I'd take a nav system like that one over a CD changer any day.
You can also get heated seats put in, but again it's gonna be a little pricey. You pretty much have to take the leather off the seats, put the heating pads on the seats, wire the switches, and then re-upholster the seats. Fortunately I think you can do this without having to buy a new interior.
