Default TRD body kits...

I am in the market to buy a TRD body kit. I want to know if any of you know what different body kits do TRD or L-tuned offer. Is it true that L-tuned is just a subdivision of TRD? From what I heard, L-tuned has two different body kits for the IS300. Is this true? Does anybody have pics of them?

thanks

Niiiice !!! I like that your rear spoiler doesn't obstruct the view looking out the rear windshield.

L-tuned is a sub div of TRD usa....the trd kit is more subtle, and the l-tuned is more sportier, and aggressive. all depends on your taste, both looked nice

Default Neo customise kit 99-2000 version

there is a newer version of the neo customise kit out ealry this year. The design is similar, but it's more of a squarish shape. Looks fugly to me...

trd and ltuned kits look different, completely. i am not a fan of the round fogs on the ltuned though. the trd front lip i believe it has to be modified to fit on the car coz' of the US version bumper?

VIZAGES is ok, some people have them and i don't see any problems yet. but personally i would try to get something jdm

Question L-Tuned

First, L-Tuned was a special edition model not a sub-division of anything. Lexus in cooperation with TRD developed the L-Tuned project. IS 300's destined for the L-Tuned conversion were ordered that way from the factory. No, the factory did not do anything different with them, but the order needed to reflect the L-Tuned flag so port of entry and drop-shipping to the conversion site could occur and most importantly, the invoice and monroney would reflect the package. This way it could be financed etc. Ever want to check that an IS is a "real" L-Tuned and not a add-on, have any Lexus dealer run the vehicle spec's on the national service history database. The IS's were drop-shipped to a company Northeast of LA where the actual conversion took place and then forwarded to the respective dealer.

Next, there is only one L-Tuned body kit that I know of but there are 2 L-Tuned Series kits, Series I and Series II. S-I got 17" wheels, gril, body kit badging and exhaust. S-2 got all that plus 18" wheels and special suspension (springs).

I have pic's of the very first, and, only yellow one ever built and, TRD just finished converting it back to stock this week (this one was never ordered to be an L-Tuned and was the one-off to deveop the package...a 5-speed too!)

By the way the first L-Tuned project was the GS-400 back in '99 AND IT WAS A DEALER INSTALL KIT.

What the heck is an "I-Tuned"??
