MPG on IS300
Driven most of the time at moderate acceleration and at flow of traffic +5-10 mph, I average 360 miles before fill-up... I always seem to punch up the MPG numbers on my cell phone calculator and it's been pretty consistant at 22-23 MPG combined and on long highway trips 25-27 MPG.
Hope that helps.

I've had my IS300 Manual for almost a year now and I'm consistently getting 18-19mpg combined HWY/CITY. The low fuel light comes on at about 280mi from completely full tank.
Best I've been able to do was 23mpg with almost all HWY driving.
I only run top tier 93. I do have to admit that I run her pretty hard. The short gearing of the W55 doesn't do me any favors.

I can get about 300 miles/tank from my 2001 with 213K on the odometer. A 6 cylinder car will always burn more fuel than a 4 cylinder, so that's a big part of it.
Before this car I was a BMW guy...I had a 325is with an inline 6...I then sold it and went down to a 318ic with a 4-cylinder because I wanted more gas mileage; at the time regular was almost $3/gallon and that was for regular. I had to use mid-grade and my daily commute was 30 miles in either direction...I was spending about $100/week in fuel.
I've since changed jobs, cities, and vehicles. Fuel is cheaper in New Orleans than Atlanta, and I have a company vehicle which means my car is only used in the evenings. I can go 2 weeks before refueling.
These cars aren't the most fuel sipping vehicles in the world, and they aren't meant to be. But it's still not bad.
I guess it would boil down to your personal situation...
