Buying IS300
I am this close to getting an IS300. My parents are hesitant beacuase they are worried it won't handle well in the snow being RWD. I live in the NJ, PA, MD area so its not like Aspen or anything. What shiould I say to them? Also, what would be a fair price to pay right now?? Thanks guys.
Your parents are absolutely right!! The car sucks in the snow..even the slightest amount can be dicey (with the 17's) and the snow button on.
I've never tried it with a set of 16's and snow tires so maybe someone else can speak to this, although I can't imagine it's great.

Well i do not have an IS300, but I have had plenty of RWD cars. No matter what tires you have, RWD and snow just does not mix very well. You would be better off getting a cheap FWD car for the snow, maybe a $1000 sentra or something crappy. That way when the soccer mom rear ends you in the out-of-control minivan on ice, you won't care.
i have all season and live in md. the tire were great .how much gas pressue you put in that matters. i used the snow button for fun and it only lets you take off in second gear and tries to limit you from going high speed. i had my car for almost 5 years. stuck once in the drive way because it a upward high climb before the main road. no matter what snow, ice, or rain it will happen to anyone. even 4wd. cause i have a wrx also. crash and burned.
