Has anyone ever had there IS300 stall on them?
Mine has stalled on me twice already. Once at idle waiting for the light to turn and second while exiting off the offramp of a highway.
The engine cuts off and the diplay is all lit up...no power.
Had to throw it into park and restart the ignition.
Lexus couldn't find anything wrong. They checked the ECU and NO codes. I already have the most current update. I'm still waiting for the Trac update.

Any assistance with this matter would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Default might've gotten some bad gas?

my friend has a 2000 neon and the same thing happened to his neon it just up and shut off in the middle of traffic at a red light one day. he attributed the problem to bad gas.

That's not the problem, because I'm using 94 octane in the IS300.

Thanks for the feedback.

Could the problem be attributed to your intake?
I read this post. Don't know if related, but something to think about:

Check out this... I had the stalling problem and found out from the dealer that Lexus is fixing this but only if customers complain that the car is stalling.

I skimmed through the posts. I don't see anything about a stalling problem. If you meant trac/ECU update, it's an unrelated issue. My name is on the list for that. I'm waiting for it to arrive to my Dealership.

Ever hear of the KISS method............ Keep It Simple Stupid. Well you may want to check the battery connections for loose or deposits at the terminal.

hey just incase that happens and you are on the highway, you can put the car in NUETRAL and then turn the engine on, and then put the car back in DRIVE...it is okay, just not recommended to do it all the time...if you are really good, or if ever driven a manual car, you can try to match the rpms with the current speed of the car, and then put it in DRIVE so if won't jerk on you. but that's just my .02!

Unhappy same stalling problem

dragion,

I have the same type of intake (Injen) and have experienced the stalling issues. The dealer cant find anything, so I called Injen. I talked to some high up people and they said that they have sold hundreds and have had no complaints. How long have you had the intake? Just something that might not correlate but, i remounted the front plastic piece that mounts above the radiator to help get coldair into the intake.
