LOL. Yeah, you caught me. I thought it was standard in all 2003's. My co-worker disagrees so we have a little bet going. He says some did and some didn't. I say they all came with a net, mats, and a lock. I know it was an available "option", but it being listed that way in the brochure and actual Lexus build can be entirely different things. I am on a mission to prove him wrong and figured the best way was to enlist some help from actual owners around other areas, not just Los Angeles. Well, anyone else wanna vote? Come on! Help me out here. I got an expensive lunch at stake.......my co-worker can really put food away like there's no tomorrow.

Haha, so is that what you guys do at the dealship in your spare time?
I would have to agree with your co-worker that the cargo net and other things were options and did not come standard with 2003s. However, it doesn't mean that most dealerships didn't just mask the added cost of those items in some kind of "package" or used them as an incentive for the buyer.
Hahaha. Well, okay I sold a pre-owned IS300 yesterday and it had the little clips inside the trunk, but no cargo net. I say, if it has the clips then it should have a cargo net with the car. My co-worker says, they all came with clips, but maybe without a cargo net.
If it says it on the window sticker, then it did come with it from the factory.
yup, mine did. i voted already. all of the dealers i spoke to, in regards to purchasing a sportdesign, came with the cargo net, wheel locks, trunk mat...those 3 items were always mentioned together...
btw, what clips? the metal rings or the actual plastic clips?
Thanks for voting. Yeah, the little plastic hook things you hang the corners of the net to inside the trunk. I could've sworn that cargo nets pretty much came on all IS300's last year. When he tries to stake a winning claim our bet, I'm just going to show him the results of this thread. Everyone, please keep voting!

eliz, yes i have cargo nets on mine too, but of course, you know why i have them "no brainer"
btw, you are right, if there are clips for nets, there is a net, it's just missing. if there is no net, there is no clips. it's just a botton
