Unfortunately because it's not as readily available like other grilles, you have to pay a premium for it. The .net store has it for sale if you didn't know already.

You can also get various JDM grills from Tunedparts.com. Go to their forum and the group buy section (http://www.tunedparts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=661). There may still be a few in stock.

I have a 2002 Charcoal is300 and since im 16 and i dont have a job i dont have alot of cash to mod my car... but i do want good quality stuff. I was wonderin how and what to use to change the color of the stock grill emblem to a sort of darker color to match my car and the tint that i plan to get. What would you guys suggest?

Thanks for your help

Advice for you. Save your money until you have the funds to buy the right stuff. The genuine parts you want will start roughly in the hundreds range..and just keep going up. If you want a darker grille, you can spray paint it with a darker color. But it will look wrong if it's not done right. It's very easy to mess it up. I suggest you save up first and then mod.

I believe you're referring to the black pearl emblem, which actually can be purchased separately. Typically, if buying from the dealer, you will have to purchase the black pearl emblems as a set, and it doesn't end up being much cheaper than a new grill.

Angad:
I agree with flipside, you should save your money and get something nice later. Actually, you should just be happy that you have an IS300 at your age, when many people aren't as lucky. There will be lots of time later to modify your car.

Good to hear. The JDM grills are nice and worth saving for, but when you get a job, think ahead and plan carefully about what you want to do with you car. Since you want to get a grill for starters, I assume you want to make your car stand out a bit from the other IS300s. Then maybe you'll move onto a body kit or wheels, or a spoiler.

Some people (like myself) wanted performance, so I started by working on my suspension, then the drivetrain. You should plan how to achieve your goals and really learn how to save. Eventually, you'll be able to get all you want if you know how to manage your money.
