i think the story is bs. he posted this on is300.net: "Well guys as everyone here will or might want to know? How do you stop the odometer?? I whould like to know. Is it like the VW that it is a fuse that stop the odometer?? " as a note, the h in "whould" is in the original post too. i think he just wants a way to stop the odo from counting the miles. that is why the details are so sketchy.

just out of curiousity, how would I go about turning off the mileage on my LX? just in case, cause I want my dad to know excatly how many miles I put on it, I wouldn't want anything to go wrong with that.
