Might seem a little "RICE" but we are not talking about a huge wing on a little car that adds nothing to the vechile as far as style or speed. The engine starter is a common feature from american muscle to imports. The only car that I know of with this feature is the S2000 and its not a bad car. I would say an engine starter is really not needed but just something to be different.

ya doooooode, i agree with islexus300. is300 is sweet as heck. it can be sporty, also elegant

come on now, is300 altezza lites, most sought-after style. u can't say honda's rice and toyota or lexus is300 is better! i'm using a lot of assumption and 9th grade language here coz i'm trying to build rapport with 2jz_whoa. whoa!

i just saw a grain of rice

Question

Does this button include a starter lock-out if the engine is already running and your hand.....or something else....accidentally hits it? Otherwise you could be picking up pieces of starter and flywheel off the ground for quite a distance.

Default Rice?

I think it's seems fine and looks ok.

As for the "ricey" title we seem to tag it with is a little harsh. If it's done right like the thread ali1983 showed us it might be just fine.

FYI: Push button start was introduced in early model Cadillacs (Late 40's?) after they invented the electric starter. That stopped after they figured out that anyone can jump in the car, start it, and GO!!

i did it ... it is nice.. .just a little show thang really but totall y functional & works perfect...
you can either leave it os the key works or s oONLY the button works... forthe same reason Simon left his working both ways so did i......... Valet's....

& Honda S200 are not that RICEY ... they are thoroughbred racy little sports cars... & these are also standard OEM items on 120k BMW Z8's & the new Mercedes SLR that wil lrun a cool 300k Plus....

So,... it might be RICEY to some but soon it will be common on the most exclusive euro cars too... Honda just started the trend with the S2k... i think an Aston martin Also has this feature.. .the db7 or what not...??

mine looks EXACTLY like simons...Same place & all he sorta copied my idea of putting it there after i installed mine as a test late last year.... i had mine in that long ago but it took a while to hook it up & simon did the write up 1st....
