Default area 51 strut bar

Hey guys, I'd like to improve my handling by getting a front STB. There's this AREA 51 bar for $250 which i've heard is really good vs. the JIC one for about $150. Thanks.

the front strut bar doesn't really do alot for the car... if you want to stiffen the chassis and reduce roll, your best bet it to get a set of front and rear sway bars..

Why do we need to spend more money when the stock Is300 has sway bars already. I understand that aftermarket sway bars are a bigger.

the IS from the factory comes with understeer... they designed that way on purpose because the average driver doesn't know how to correct oversteer... basically its safer for the avg driver to have understeer... by changing the sways u will reduce body roll and create more oversteer... this will make the car handle better and be more responsive.. but if dont know how to correct oversteer.. maybe its best u dont get sways...

if you want to improve handling.. the front strut bar will do the least amount in comparison to sways and springs/coilovers or even cross member braces...

Just wondering. How much bigger is the hotchkis sway bar? What kind of material is it?

He did lol.... I thought I replied about it the other day but I guess not. :|

There are bars available for these cars still, I don't know about that brand. Any bar you install should do mostly the same job and it doesn't make sense to want something that potentially isn't available anymore that was made by some company nobody's ever heard of in the import scene. If they were successful you'd see many people talking about their parts and they'd still be making them today probably. I've never heard of Area51 so..... there's that.

No harm in asking but I probably would have started a new thread on this. The forum etiquette is generally to not bump threads that are years old.... this one happened to be over a decade old. The comedy of it is kinda worth the bump but nobody would have gotten mad at you for making a new thread. This forum is so slow that if someone came in here just to reply to tell you that you should search they'd just be a **** at that point.

I used beatrush parts on my car for chassis stiffening. They fit well and didn't cost a fortune..... and they're still available.
