Question How do I remove the backseat?

How do I remove the backseat out of my IS300? My center seatbelt got stuck and won't come loose. I need to remove the backseat to remove the center seatbelt. Does anyone have pics on how to take out the seat? or let me know where the bolts I need to take out? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

OK well first you need to take out the bottom part of the seat. To do this, you have to squeaze your fingers under the seat and pull up towards the roof. There are 3-4 tabs that you have to pull it out of. Then you just pull that part out. I don't think there are any bolts in that section.

Then for the backrest you will see metal braces coming from the backrest bolted into the sheet metal under the seat. After you unbolt those you have to push the backrest upward toward the roof/back glass. And let me tell you that is no easy task. The best way I can explain it to you is to grab the bottom of the backrest and just push as hard as you can upward to pop it out of the tabs. Maybe I'm just weak I dunno but I had a helluva time getting that darn thing out. Then your back seat is out. Hope that helps!

yup. thats a perfect description. the backrest was a pain for me too. you have to push it towards the window. and getting it back in is another mission.
