Hey guys, I’m new here, I’ve had my Is300 for about a year now I’ve rebuilt it (Pushing 270 cylinder psi dry) and made it look nice. Just recently I was driving it when it Has decided to shut off while driving… Strange… Got it towed to my house. sprayed Starting fluid in intake and it ran Just bad ofc. I then went to check if my fuel pump was working… I head it hum and took off the feed line to engine and put a hose there to see if pump out gas. I then rented out a noid light to see what the injector pulse looks like. Needless to say it’s random; sometimes it’s nice and bright, then no light, then dim light on all 6 injector plugs.. I have replaced my Crankshaft position sensor and still no luck.. I’m leaning towards bad Ecu.. Also all fuses related to fuel and spark have been good, I checked them all. Down below is a video of my car attempting to start, and the noid light situation.
I checked it it’s getting good voltage… Changed my camshaft position sensor too still nothing, Injectors still get intermediate pulse. I’m pretty sure it’s the ecu because occasionally I get no communication on my ecu while i got my scan tool attached… It also says my injectors are pulsing at 30Ms or so but doesn’t pulse.
Communication issue is usually a fuse issue. You could try replacing the igniter. Have you seen that the coils are firing? I also assume you checked the crank sensor wheel.
I figured it out, Turns out it was the fuel pump… Which is strange because i swapped it out with another oem lexus one and it didn’t want to start.. Got that walbro 255 fuel pump.. Now it sounds cammed 😆😆
