Default New IS Owner!

Hey guys....just wanted to say I recently sold my 98 honda accord and purchased an Absolute Red (I think thats the correct color) '02 Lexus IS300.....I wanted to see what everyone thought of the deal I got on my IS....here are the specs:

'02, 14k miles, 5 speed, full leather, navi, heated seats, chrome wheels, lip spoiler, moonroof, blah blah blah...as far as I know its fully loaded and isn't missing a single factory installed option....

Anyhow, I paid $24,850 for the car....bought it from a local dealer in town.....what do you guys think?

Also, had another question....what do you guys use to clean and condition the leather in your cars? Any tips would be appreciated.

Lastly, can I swap the yellow fogs for a hyperwhites? If so, what type of bulb is it?

Well i'm really excited to be an IS owner....I LOVE the car so far! Get a **** load of compliments and looks everyday!!! haha i'm not used to this much attention!

Thanks for your help guys.....i'm looking forward to being a part of this forum.....

Welcome to ClubLexus and congrats on the new ride!

On your leather question - we have a specific forum on CL for Auto Detailing.

I did a search on that forum (you'll find many of the questions you have will already have been asked over and over again, so I'd suggest getting to know that search tool well, it'll serve you well for the first few months ) for the keywords "leather condition" and found a bunch of topics that answer your question.

Here are a few of them:

the yellow fogs are caused by a yellow lens in the fog light housing, nothing to do with the bulb. so changing the bulb won't help

Ouch, that's pretty steep just to change the color of your fogs. Any other alternatives for buying just the clear lens?

well the problem is the yellow lens is in the inside. so you either change the whole housing, or you pry open your current hosing, and use paint thinner or so to clear out the lens and put it back together

Menaul and louisiana, hahaha, next door to Shoney's, I run Auto Glass Discount. My wife is driving my car till her 325ci comes in around christmas, but after that, it'll be back over there. Mine is a black 2002 with manual tranny, only distinguishable mark is red calipers.
