Went lithium!
Not that one, but did replace the 12v battery with a lithium battery. Factory battery is a 65ah 500cca agm. This is a 40ah lifepo4 battery designed for medical devices. They both have roughly the same amount of power since the agm has ~50% discharge verses 80%for this one. The lithium has a much better discharge curve giving higher voltage and quicker charge/discharge . It also saves almost 40lbs of weight. I'm hoping between reduced duty cycle of the dc-dc inverter and the weight savings I'll see some mpg improvements but probably not. Either way fun to say ive got a lithium ion powered LS 😁
How's the Lithium 12V battery working in your LS460? I think Lithium is great, except that it has limitations for charging below 32F, actually below 40F I believe.
If you live in a relatively moderate area, Lithi 12V would work ok IMHO. But in a very cold climate area, with long cold winters, you may suffer low charging of the 12V battery, and not have enough power to start your car.
