Exclamation eCVT issue or normal behavior ?

Other user mentioned this earlier and I have now the same observation, when doing highway speeds and letting off the accelerator and then getting back on it, it is like going from neutral to drive at 60+ and i can feel jerk from tranny, imagine peacefully cruising and all of a sudden quickly accelerate type of jerk. Other than that, it is fine
Anyone had that experience or resolution ?

Never had that experience with my GSh. Sounds like it may be a bad engine mount or tranny mount.

I had them checked and all are ok, car has 90k miles. Its just a hair more noticeable than starting or shutting down engine type of jolt during a drive.

That condition sounds like what happens with an automatic transmission when the torque converter locks/unlocks which can cause the car to jerk or buck. But I have not experienced that in any vehicle in many years.

I have definitely never experienced that behavior with my GS 450h.

Default Update

Turns out it was wrong ATF fluid. When I went to change it, old one came out in darkish translucent colour not like dark ping that Toyota ATF WF should be. Smell was also more like standard ATF thats going to ZF 8sp. Transmission. I did drop and fill with WS fluid, reset the learnt values. Car def. feels different now. Will do another drop and fill in a month or so.
Stupid fu//ing russian that owned the car before me, must have tought same fluid is same fluid what difference it makes.

2014 GS450H 97,00kms Japanese market import.
Experiencing the same thing. Seems to be worse in eco mode or if I'm trying to ease on the accelerator pedal gently to prevent the thump. Hardly notice it if I just get on the pedal a bit quicker.

It could be a number of things, It will take about 15-20mins to do, I would put the car on safety stands and check the diff, transmission and engine mounts for wear and tear. Jiggle the tailshaft and feel if there is excessive play or noise from the uni joint, diff coupling or even the diff itself.
