Default 350h Gauge Cluster

Hi all! I just picked up my NX350h after waiting ~3.5 months. I got the base model with a few added features (e.g., power liftgate, heated steering wheel). After watching dozens of reviews of the NX, I routinely saw the below gauge cluster.

I loved the look and thought it was super sleek.

However, my cluster looks like below:

Much less sleek. I find it clunky.

Do only NX's with certain packages (e.g., luxury package only) get the nicer cluster?

I have the same cluster as you and I have the ultra luxury in Canada.

The first pic looks like the F-Sport gages. Your 350h is not sleek enough to deserve it

Just found this on a previous thread. If you don’t have HUD, you have the top cluster. Seems odd that HUD would change the display so drastically? Wish we had an option to have one or the other…

The nicer hud (top) is only for models with the Heads up Display option and the bottom hud is for models without the Heads up Display option.

I think you can get the"nice" display even without HUD...

I have the 350h Ultra Premium in Canada and I do have both displays.

You actually have a choice of 3 different displays which you should be able to select and customize. I have the regular looking tachometer, a linear tachometer which activates in Sport mode and the energy meter option to show charging and power status.

If you look at page 739 of the Owners manual it does talk about these modes...

How can distance to empty be 124 miles with the gas tank at half full, though I did notice trip MPG is 0.7 ?

Both were from Google images. Sorry, should have mentioned that. Too lazy to get a picture of my actual gauge

My wife’s NX 350h has the standard cluster.

Coming from her IS to the NX cluster was a really nice improvement.

I have purchased a 22 ES 300h and it gauge cluster is almost identical except it uses the analog (not a bar graph) temp and gas. I’m good with it but I always find it interesting that same car company did not use the same gauge cluster.

They're all digital displays, so technically, anything is possible as a display. It just has to be programmed in. I would expect that as we get newer, more technologically advanced vehicles, car manufacturers are going to throw in customizable options for gauge clusters.

Except of course they're lazy and decide not to.🤣

Agreed! Just tried customizing re: the owner's manual and you can only change the "meter display type". Options 1-3. There doesn't seem to be a way to customize much further, unless you have HUD capabilities.

Except you have the plug-in, I believe the two 'arc style' meters (temperature and fuel) are going to stay to the right of the tach/speedo.

The cluster in the 350h is much better than the one in my previous car (‘08 ISF) in every way except the speedometer went up to 180 in the ISF ;-)
