Oil change interval with EV plugin
Normally for my cars I change my oil every 10k miles and filter every 5k miles. Since the NX450h+ is a plug-in, would it be safe to change oil filter every 10k miles?
I'm asking because I use the electric motor 90% of the time, therefore the ICE rarely gets used; would this mean that 10k miles is really only 1k miles on the oil filter?

That is a very good question. The dealership would say - yes you should change it as oil will still go bad over time. I don't have an answer for this and maybe we should as the Car Care Nut - AMD (Youtuber) as he may have a better recommendation.
I think it still makes sense to do the oil change at least once a year. I do have 3 years of service included in my extended warranty package, so I will still do the change since it's included.

The oil service interval according to my 450h+ seems to be quite long. I changed the oil at 1700 km and it says the next interval is at about 15000 km.
I will change the oil at 5k, 10k, 15k etc as I always have done with my previous ICE cars even though I use EV mode often in the 450h+.

There is a readout, but that readout is just miles/km left to the setup KM driven to the next expected oil change. In Canada we are scheduled for an oil change every 16k km or 10k miles and it will just count down on any miles/km driven no matter it's EV or HV driving.

I would honestly listen to the master on this subject 'The Car Care Nut' on YouTube watch this video and see what destruction will happen to your engine:
He also has a video showing you the result of a car owner that followed Toyota's advice and changed every 10k miles, see at 11 minute mark the cylinder wall scoring:
As this gentleman constantly says "oil is cheap folks" and another classic, 'you can pay me now or pay me later'. If you love and care for your car and want it to last a very long time as all Toyotas and Lexus vehicles can do if properly maintained, don't listen to the owners manual and do an oil change every 6 months or 5k miles at the very least. AMD actually mentions in the first video that the owners manual is an absolute minimum requirement to not void your warranty, but once you're past that it's completely your problem which this unfortunate owner of the Camry found out.
So EV or no EV if you have an internal combustion engine under the hood you need to do oil changes period. I have a 2022 NX350h and have followed this guys advice and had my first oil changed at 1000 miles and will be doing them every 6 months or 5k as well.
Watch his video on his own new Lexus GX460.
He shows you the metal and gasket sealer debris that can be found in the oil filter just after it's first 1k miles.

Thanks for the informative videos! Some good info.
I can see the value of the very first oil change(break in) at 1,000 miles…but to process with all of the following(synthetic oil)oil changes at 3,000 miles seems excessive. I plan to send in oil sample periodically for analysis and would expect good results.
