My average MPG is 36.7, which is pretty decent but my gas gauge at full shows only 478 miles to empty.. When I first bought it, the gauge initially showed 520 miles to empty and it just decreased every time I filled up the gas. Mathematically that doesn't make sense... 36.7*14 gallon tank = 513.8 miles per tank.. I just wonder how the system calculates that number. Another issue is wireless charging with iPhone 13 pro. Because the phone has a camera bump, the charging goes in and out it's very annoying and it doesn't work face down either. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have the same issue with wireless charging for iPhone 13 pro.

Is the 36.7 calculated by the car or by you? I haven't yet driven a car that I could rely on the stated range. You might try keeping track of the numbers yourself to validate whether the car is accurate. You'll also gain a better sense of how much real range your car gets depending on your specific driving patterns. Just log how many miles each time you refill, and how much gas you put in. It's a bit of work, but it may be worth the knowledge for future planning.
I always thought that a gauge was an estimate, not a precise measurement, at least as implemented in a vehicle which can be operated in an almost endless set of circumstances?
Has anyone used the assistant, “Hey Lexus?” When using it, whatever you are listening to does not get muted or turned down. It is pretty damn difficult to communicate with her while you were cranking music on your Mark Levinson. You have to turn down your music so you can use the assistant. Also I have not found anywhere where there is a convenient mute.

ditto on this. I have talk to the service manager about this and he says what needs to be done to provide feedback to Lexus is to fill out what is referred to as a DPR. according to service, the wireless charger is working as advertised. I find that when using it without a case, it will charge. But due to the bump whenever you turn a corner or hit the brakes or takeoff quickly, the phone slides off and does not charge. In my opinion it is a pretty poor design as any iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 12 pro will have usability problems.

There is an app called FUELLY that is used to accurately track your MPG. Just punch in your odometer miles and amount of gas put in each time you fill up completely. Lots of People use this app especially owners of different models of hybrids. If a bunch of new 350h owners start an account, we will get an idea of what everyone is getting. I will start an account when I get my 350h delivered.

this seems a common complaint and not even one that’s unique to Lexus or the NX. Many cars, including my friends 2022 Honda Civic Touring has the same issue.
it appears that the coil is too small for proper placement, causing the Qi standard to fail the handshake and therefore fail to engage the charging function. (Handshake being part of the protocol for establishing communication)
in any case - this is completely not a solution to this problem, but I’ve seen people use the MagSafe pucks to act as their charger for iPhones.
maybe I’ll 3D print a “template” to hold my iPhone in place while it charges lol.

It is a precise measurement based on the odometer and the fuel used. The only factor that varies is the HMI . Sometimes the H part varies the fill level and the H is sometimes inaccurate using the fuel hose automatic cutoff/ If was always more precise when they had full service stations and they had fully trained fuel pump operators.
Fuelly is a good tracking program , but requires manual data entry

Fuelly is a good tracking program but requires manual data entry. Fuelly always assumes you fully fill up your gas tank. You manually enter the odometer reading, the gas price and the gallons put in your tank. When you register with Fuelly, you enter the year and model of your car , so Fuelly know you gas tank size.
If you put in accurate data then the calculation is accurate.
Midcow , yes this is what I do with my current vehicle and will do it for the 350h when I get it.
Folks can then go to the fuelly website and look for the vehicles they are interested in.

I would think that people who use Fuelly are probably the kind of folks who generally are a bit OCD, and probably are very accurate in entering their data. I know I am for certain, and have used it for a bit over three years now.
