Maximum Amperage Available for Hybrid
Would anyone know what the DC to DC converter can support in terms of load. I would like to add a set of amplifiers that would require about 175 amps of load to the system. I know that audio load is dynamic and not continuous unless playing sine waves.
I just would like to know if there is headroom, or at what point i’m overtaxing the electrical system.

Interesting question. Easy to answer for a car with an alternator for a hybrid I don't know. The highest current fuse outside of the inverter and hybrid battery I think is 100 amps so does that mean the battery gets a maximum charge of 100 amps at any given time? There are a couple of techs here that work for Toyota/Lexus hopefully they know more.
Here is a story about a guy who ran an 1100 watt inverter off his Prius and used it extensively after a hurricane.
Personally, I wouldn't think the traction battery would charge the 12v battery any faster than 30 amps or so, and maybe quite a bit less, since a lower charging rate probably helps battery life and there is no need for a heavy discharge for cranking an engine.
