Need Help, NX300h Not Starting
I have a suspicion it has to do with the safety system and it doesn't want to start when there are airbag and braking issues. My current plan is to repair the body and frame and panels and see which errors go away when the car is cosmetically back to normal.
I'd like to avoid taking it to a dealer since it'll all be out of pocket and I currently can't move it very easily either. I also don't have the proper scan tools to see the hybrid ecu codes but I might be able to get my hands on that.
Anyone got any tips or advice? It's greatly appreciated.
Attached are the warning messages and a pic of the damage
.What is common to all of your posted error messages is they are all system diagnostics. In my estimation, there are only 2 possible causes that are common to all of the represented systems:
(1) 12V power.
I do not have any service info for the hybrid model, but I do not think the overall 12V power flow should differ that greatly from the gasoline models. I do not see any single fuse that would affect all of those systems yet permit the instrument panel warning display to function.
(2) CAN multiplex bus.
All of the systems referenced in your images, including hybrid propulsion, have a node on the CAN bus, which among other things, is used to communicate diagnostics. Furthermore, the rear parking sensors (blind spot monitor detectors) and rear view camera are also all individual CAN bus nodes. Damage to either of the CAN bus wires could possibly compromise the entire communications network and result on false error messages. I would start by replacing the obviously-damaged rear sensor and see what happens.
A PDF drawing of the gasoline model CAN bus, with all nodes identified, can be viewed or downloaded here:
