Anyone else experiencing and engine light coming on (and turning off after a few start ups) and a very rough idle while going at slow speeds? I'm told there's a bulletin out there that recommends new coils and fuel injectors. Car has relatively low mileage at 40K but is over warranty in time. Before I blow $2500 on this, does anyone have other ideas or experiences? I can't see spending this kind of money on an engine at so few miles.

 

have you had the code read? if so, what does the code point to?

 

yes-same as other users I've been reading about. Always the random misfire code-P0300. Never a specific cylinder. Bulletin L-SB-0045-12 seems to have it covered. Just looking for input from others on whether the repair gave them 100% satisfaction. Ridiculous to have to do this at 40K miles. I bought a luxury car with a bad engine design. Guess this will be my second and last Lexus.

 

Same thing happened here. Got insurance to cover it through comprehensive coverage. New injectors did the trick

Hi, what insurance did you buy that covered it? There are some slimy actors out there, yours sounds good...
with a 2011 I am past both the time and mileage for the California warranty.
