Can AC run with motor off on gs hybrid? Like on a Prius?
I don't own one of these but I'm fascinated on how the ac can run basically all night on just a gallon of gas in a Prius and am curious if the same holds true for the gs hybrid or all hybrids?

Newer hybrids have electric AC's that don't need the engine on yes. The GS450h can do this.
Not sure what you mean by running the AC all night on a gallon of gas though.

Well, I don't know how much gas it'll use if I did that on the GS450h but it'll do the same thing with the engine turning on to charge the battery every once in a while.

Old but nice thread. Back when I had a 1.6 corolla with a scangauge fuel meter, it said about 0.7 l per hour at idle, both with and without A/C.
So a hybrid that can run at full power to charge the battery will do much better, since running a gasoline car at idle is very ineffective
