Hi guys any issues specific to the hybrid I need to know about. Can a dealer test the battery and stuff like that? I assume the hybrid system is expensive to repair and replace?

You'll find quite a bit of info regarding the LS600hL batteries by searching this forum. There have been a few reported failures of the early (2008) hybrid battery packs, and the cost to replace the batteries is around $5-6k.

In Europe, I believe the Lexus dealers offer an annual battery testing program that can extend the warranty for the hybrid batteries. Unfortunately, the U.S. Lexus dealers don't have that capability.

Good luck!
