Default Battery & Triple Digit Temps

Has anyone noticed their RX 450h battery not keeping pace on hot, triple digit temp. days? I’ve noticed the fuel mileage goes in the toilet & the hybrid battery just can’t keep up when it’s 105 degrees out. I’m not getting any warnings, just noticing the battery isn’t getting charged at the rate it normally would.

The ac is electric and uses a ton of energy. The ac on mine isn’t as bad on mpg as using the heater in the winter is

Wow, I would have never guessed the heater would affect the fuel mileage! On the flip side, it’s better than dealing with all the diesel problems & electronics problems of other luxury SUVs. I’ll take the quirky Lexus.

And on the other hand one big benefit of having an electric A/C compressor is that it can run full-tilt even when you are stopped at a traffic light. Conventional belt-driven compressors run at low rpms when you're idling, and the outlet air starts to warm up. Can't count the number of times in the past when I would take the car out of gear and rev the engine slightly just to maintain the cool while at a traffic light.
