It's not for hybrid transmission. You have different plugs, they are 10mm hex head recessed. It's literally one of the easiest fluid changes ever, why bother?

Ya that's what i'm lead to believe but , honestly, this tranny will be the death of me!! One guy says it's 4 quarts , one guy says 9. 4 in the front two in the back(quarts). No drive train to power rear wheels, hence no transfer case.Yet there is a differential and a transfer case in the back?Huh? The more I delve into this , the more confused I get.Argh!!

The RX400h all wheel drive has a rear motor/generator/gearbox as well as the front drive assembly.... If you have a Front wheel drive only RX400h there is only one gearbox/transmission. See the pictures at the beginning of this thread, it shows both front and rear gear/transmission. The correct hybrid name is that the front has a CVT drive gearbox. The rear is a motor/generator/gearbox. Yes those are the correct fluid amounts with a All Wheel Drive RX400h.

I am the one that posted those pictures. The front takes approximately 4 quarts, the rear takes 2 quarts. It is not rocket science, just drain and fill. Have done it at least 5 times on my RX400h. Make sure you use Toyota Type WS fluid.

Default you're right

the more i look at those pics, i don't see the point of it all.I mean it doesn't help you drain or drain more than the standard way so why bother.Sure filling is easier but you're already down there .
just one last question: pic on left is front and pic on right is for the back?

yes picture on left is front. I have found by changing fluid every year the fluid condition looks better, figure It is cheap insurance for longevity. When I bought my RX it had 89 k miles and the fluid was dark brown. thru yearly changes the fluid is more to the new fluid look. The rear motor fluid seems to stay very clean, probably due to not sharing the transaxle and getting far less use under normal conditions.
