Vehicle Proximity Notification System (VPNS) speaker location?
I'd like to disable the VPNS speaker on my '13 450h, but I'm not sure exactly where it is. Has anyone does this and found the speaker? Also, is there one front and rear, or just in the front?
I don't like my car to make spaceship noises, and I want to have a good idea of what I'm getting myself into before just going ahead and ripping the bumper off looking for the thing.

I think its the same sound as the parking assist. If you have a PCS system that will be easier to put the car in drive near an object but not have it move and try and track it down.

Unfortunately, I tried this and the sound turns off after a few seconds. I manually activated the parking brake and put the car in drive, and it made a noise for about 3 seconds and then went silent.

If it's like the Prius, then it should be near the driver side fender:

I haven't got around to looking for it on my GS450h. Take pics if you find it.
