Check Headlight System Warning
2011 RX450h sat at airport parking for a week (very wet rain, snow ) weather. Started it and the Check headlight System warning came on. Checked all lights both front and back and they are working. Turned off the AFS feature. Restarted car and warning system still came on. Lights self level when turned on. Any advice - short of going to the dealer? I'd like to turn off the warning as it is bothering me. Please advise. Thanks.

I'm also facing the same issue on my 2014 IS250. But my headlights have condensation and I feel like that's the culprit. Everything works tho. Let me know if you find a solution!

Vlad,
Thanks for the response. I am concerned that if I disconnect battery I will lose my navigation settings, etc.. Will I lose these and other settings if I disconnect the battery?

I believe nav settings are stored on its internal hard drive. The only thing I remember having to do after disconnecting my battery was to open and close the tailgate manually once.

So sorry for the late reply. Took it to the dealer in Oct. 2017 and they performed system diagnostic which revealed trouble code B2430. Left side circuit malfunction. Tech found wire harness 8 terminal connector to L front headlight motor has corrosion and 1 terminal wire broken off. Tech disassembled connector, cleaned terminals and replaced wire section for broken terminal. Reset control unit for headilghts- all good. Cost $360.49 (of which $347 was labor).
I was recently on this blog to research replacing my rx450h with a nx300h and noticed your question.I'm probably too late for you but may be a help to others. (And yes I traded my 2011 rx 450h in for a 2020 nx300h and love them both. I just wanted to down size a little and get the safety features offered in the newer models- otherwise I loved my older rx450h!)
