The battery cells number 15,16 needs to be replaced as you can see from Teachstream software analysis .

Not bad for somebody who did this multiple times. ..........Seriously Lexus has to make improvement on those battery cells ,if they still want to be in business.

I took two USED CELLS FROM prius and VOILA battery pack was rebuild AGAIN, and car is driving like charm.

I have proof point here AGAIN just replace the bad cell and you are good to go.

Sorry lexus engineers we WON ....AGAIN.

6 cells from prius 2008
4 cells from altima hybrid 2009
7 cells from toyota camry 2011

the rest of cells are OEM old one from Lexus GS450h 2008

we are ready for next bad cell to rebuild.

where you live in ontario, i wanna pay you to refurbish my cells haha! hey have you tried using the software "hybrid assistant" It has a hybrid battery check software and curious if it was as accurate as the techstream software?

lexusisgs, How much time does it take to rebuild the battery? And what version of the software are you using to check battery health? How much miles does your battery have total? Has it been a reliable purchase? I am interested in buying one of these ..

hi there i am back after long time.
just had code for check hybrid system.

first aid kit solution here was to reset code and continue to drive.I did for couple months like that untill i found hybrid battery cells.this time donor was 2008 camry hybrid .
transplant was done yesterday my cell19 was bad.I mean block 19.
cells were sitting at room temperature almost 4 years ,just used trickle 2 amp charger to awakening them up.
will post pictures later on.
now we are conducting drive test to see results after 540 000 km.

hi there,
Here is some short procedure from last p0a80 code.

After using the.stream software we have recovered data about bad block.that was block 19.


Here was tricky part.after resetting code all battery cells appears normal .this is live data shot. So we had no choice than do one more test just to be on safe side.

Here is donor battery from 2008 Camry .


After we have disassembled all cells time was to see voltage on each .what was left after 4 years being in storage.

I was blown away with this measurements . Some cells were from 6.8 to 7.4 volts.

We strated with charging precedure. We have used simple car charger using 2 amp.range for about short time untill we brought cell to about 8.0 volts. Reason for that is the cells from originall battery pack when you pullout from car will have about 8.2 volt most of cells ,so I was trying to bring new cells to about same 8.0volt range.

Shortly after this was voltage I was happy with. But remember this here is for education purposes only . It may not work on some other cells if they are to much discharged.

After charging was done this is voltage we had. But still remember this does not tell you if cell is good or bad. This time we were gambling.and hoping for best.

now procedure was same as before take your hybrid battery out of car.

Be careful there is still high voltage.

Pay attention to details ,do not move to fast .slow is good Slow is precise Slow will safe you.

Here it is my lovely battery pack that made over 500 000 km As you can see there is a lot of donors cells from different cars Prius,Altima Nissan hybrid,Camry hybrid 2011,2009 and now will be 2008 donor Camry. All of them are compatible.
