Is your car absolutely silent when in EV?
I noticed my car is not very silent when in EV mode when not in the car, is this normal? i was under the assumption that when the car is on electric power, it is usually very silent.
My car on occasion makes very a very noticeable buzzing sound.

Completely normal in hybrids. Here is a good thread that covers the same topic (in the ES hybrid): https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...ing-sound.html
It should be a very faint noise (some people describe it as a "whining" sound, but it sounds more like a buzzing sound to me as well).
The noise goes away completely once the ICE kicks on. I absolutely love the sound because I know the car is operating in pure electric mode - similar to a Tesla. In a Tesla, the noise goes away as you go faster since there is more outside noise that covers the electric motor sound.
Hope that helps,
