Default Buying a RX400h

i am in the market for a RX400h, i would like to know what to look out for. Any years to avoid?

Are there any common issues/problems with this gen?

The problems with my 07 rx400h:

-passenger headlight condensation
-trunk latch melts and needs to be replaced
-stereo can act weird
-loose steering column at 100k miles

other than that its a good car. You wont get good gas mileage but thats fine with me. I average about 25mpg on premium but I dont even take care of my car. Its a neat car and I plan on getting another one with lower miles

Also search for inverter coolant leaks on this site. When buying one make sure it does not have that issue. Otherwise a great automobile. I own a 2008 and it was the last year of production. I have 176k miles and love the vehicle.

Major surprises can include inverter and or transmission coolant leaks. Any pink crust on the inverter or transmission at the connection between engine and transmission is a red flag. Less costly coolant leaks are the water pump, check the side of the engine from the pass side wheel well, and the radiator. Spin the radiator fans by hand and listen for clicking. Clicking is the brushes have worn down on the motors. Make sure the brakes don't do any ABS clicking during normal driving.

Look for maintenance items done:

Spark Plugs at 120k, I believe. Expensive to do because Intake needs to be removed to get to back 3 plugs.
Timing Belt at 90k - Need to replace pump and pulleys at same time
Check for Radiator leaks
Ask if radio has ever cut out randomly (happens to my wife but never me for some reason)
Wheel bearing condition and if they are vibrating anywhere

Our 2006 RX400h (well, it's now my daughter's) is still going strong at 160k miles. Regularly maintained. Zero issues.
