Hi all, 1st of all im from Spain (clublexus.eu), sry in advance for my english.

I come here to search more experienced people to help me in my issue. Lexus dealer dont know what is going on

The system of hibrid charge works bad when it warms along the day. In the first move of the day it works well, when you brake the needle goes deep into the blue zone (like it gona to be) but when is a sunny day and i have been driving for a while, when you brakes, the needle goes into blue zone just a little, also i notice the batteries charges very slow.

I attach video of the extremely poor charge i recharge in every brake:



Lexus dealer say to me dont worry, because no alarm in the dash, but i want my car regenerative not this crap!

They also cleaned the radiators with nothing improvement.

And last datum: when im at high speed, if i change to "S" mode, needle goes deep in blue! but braking, like the video, almost nothing.

Any ideas???

Looks normal since your battery looks as if it is full(can't tell with the glare). The car can't overcharge the battery.

 

Hi, thank you for the reply.

In the video, i only have 2 bars and the battery is almost empty. I attach a 2nd video with also only 2 bars of charge, showing more the regenerative braking, im pushing the pedal a little, in normal conditions, it would be much deeper into the blue!


I wait for more answers/ideas.

it is very hot here too in summer
on the hot hot days it wont regen so much charge
its just a safety setting i think in the hybrid.

Make sure you have the aircon running in hot days, when the system overheats it doesnt regen or hold as much charge
